Crunchy, soft, meaty, full of veggies… there are literally hundreds of ways to eat a taco, and all of them are correct. The beauty of tacos, and the reason why it’s very difficult to grow tired of them, is because while the shell stays pretty consistent, the filling can be anything at all that you want. So what’s your favorite? Maybe it’s classic street tacos with minimal ingredients, maybe its something a little more Americanized with ground beef and cheese. No matter your preference, Muskogee has three must-try taco spots that will accompany you in the search for your perfect bite.
Lopez Grill Mexican Restaurant
Can’t get enough of classic Mexican dishes? Lopez Grill Mexican Restaurant has not one but two Muskogee locations for you to try out. The motto here at Lopez Grill is more food for a lower price. This is the place you go when you really want to get a bang for your buck.
The menu is outstanding, with true staples such as Seafood Fajitas, Chimichangas, beef and chicken Tostadas, and a Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla. Want to spice it up? Try the Chile Relleno or Tamales. And if you want something extra special that you won’t find anywhere else, the Thunder Fries are a knockout every time.
El Charro has just about the most authentic touch to their menu you can find out there. The portions are large, the atmosphere is laid back, and many people voted this one of the most underrated spots in town. Quesadillas, burritos, salsa, queso, you can find all of the famous Mexican comfort foods here! Here’s what one goer had to say: “This place is so underrated! Every other food place in this town was busy as heck and I feel like this place doesn’t get enough credit,” -Rikki R.
